After School Nature Explorers Club – It’s naturally fun! For 3rd graders starting in Feburary at West Vincent Elementary School Presented by Green Valleys Association The Program: Nature Explorers Club strives to instill awareness and understanding of the natural world in students through healthy, fun, out and indoor activities, and to assist them in becoming active environmental stewards. All activities are created based on th OJR School District Science Benchmarks for 3rd grade and include short discussions, observing and investigating natural objects, exploring the school grounds, games and demonstrations to learn concepts. Some sessions also include crafts and stories. Fridays, 2013 Dates: Feb. 8, 22, March 1, 15, 22, April 12, 19, 26
In case of bad weather- 2 hr delays, Nature Club is still held. How to Register: for registration form please click here and mail to address listed on the form. Grades: For West Vincent students in 3rd grade only. The Educators: Club is run by Green Valleys Association’s educators. All educators have the necessary clearances and background checks. Location: At West Vincent Elementary School, in the Primary and Intermediate Commons Parent Volunteers
Nature Explorers Club is NOT an Owen J. Roberts school-sponsored activity. : Group includes up to 15 children. Volunteers assist with activities and crafts, and keeping groups together on walks. No teaching experience is needed. If you wish to assist with any classes, please check the appropriate box on the registration form. |
